Digital creation, problem solving & innovation
JISC defines digital creation as the capacity to design and/or create new digital artefacts and materials. It defines digital (research and) problem-solving as the capacity to use digital evidence to solve problems and to answer questions. Finally it defines digital innovation as the capacity to adopt and develop new practices with digital technology.
Bearing these definitions in mind, this page has been divided into three sections and will include resources and ideas that could help you to create digital resources, to solve problems digitally and to innovate using digital technologies. We are not endorsing the use of a particular software; we are simply giving you some ideas to try out and most of these will be free to use. We also recognise that some pieces of software have multiple functions. Just because we are suggesting that a particular software might be good for creating digital resources does not mean that it can't be used for digital problem solving.
