Entertainment in Coventry

Entertainment means different things to different people, but Coventry and its surrounding areas can definitely provide a fun and/or relaxing time for everyone.

Museums - From transport to music, Coventry is home to many impressive and full of history museums and galleries: Coventry Transport Museum, Herbert Art Gallery & Museum, Coventry Watch Museum, Coventry Music Museum, Midland Air Museum, Charterhouse Coventry, The Weaver's House, Lunt Roman Fort

Cinemas - You can see the latest movies either at Showcase Cinema de Lux, Warwick Arts Centre Cinema or Odeon

Theatres - Art fans and not only can watch various plays, pieces or live music such as opera or ochestra at Warwick Arts Centre, Belgrade Theatre, Albany Theatre or Criterion Theatre.

Gyms - Wide variety of gyms spread all over the city so you can exercise your fitness and strength: Warwick Sport Gym, JD Gym, Pure Gyms (Coventry Skydome, Warwickshire Shopping Park, Bishop Street), Simply Gyms (Cannon Park, Earl Place), Village Gym, David Lloyd Gym and others. Sports Connexion is another good place for sports, gym and other leisure activities.

Shopping - There are a couple of shopping areas in Coventry and a large range of high-street shops including H&M, New Look, TopShop, River Island and others. The West Orchards indoor shopping precinct houses several major high-street stores including Debenhams, Marks and Spencers and WH Smiths. Just outside of the city centre, opposite the train station and on the main bus-route from the University of Warwick campus, is a retail park known as Central Six, home to a number of larger retail stores, including Boots, Next and several other clothing stores.

Coventry has a variety of entertainment establishments. There are a number of pubs, clubs and restaurants with various venues. Some of the clubs also feature special 'student nights' - the most popular being Ignite at the Skydome on a Wednesday night.
