Look at Module Options
As an exchange student, you have the choice to choose first, second and third year modules.
First year modules offer the foundational topics to provide you with knowledge to study more in depth economic theories.
Second and final year modules have pre-requisites and you must be aware of the ability to demonstrate the appropriate knowledge and skills to take these modules. For example, if you would like to study EC201: Macroeconomics 2, the pre-requisites are EC108 or EC107, which are two modules that cover Macroeconomics at level 1. To take this module you should have studied some Macroeconomics at beginner level at your home university.
Studying EC300 coded modules requires you to have intermediate level of Macroeconomics, Microeconomics and Econometrics. You must check the module syllabus by looking at the module webpages. This will ensure that you have read the module pages of the pre-requisite modules to ensure you have the necessary background knowledge.
Some EC300 coded modules are very technical and require a strong understanding of Econometrics. If you are unsure of your module choices, please speak to your personal tutor or the module leader.
Taking modules from other departments
In addition to economics modules, you may find that you like the look of modules in other departments such as Warwick Business School or the Department of Philosophy. There is quite the selection, so make sure you whittle it down to your preferred choices. As a part year student, you must choose your modules from the part year module list and you have the option to take modules from other departments.
