Warwick Economics Society

WES provides career pathways support to students in the following ways:

  • Organises formal and informal networking events and insights into varied career pathways.
  • Organises Spring Week Panel in Term 1, where representatives from the society’s sponsors come to share tips about the application process.

Warwick Economics Summit (WES)

WES provides career pathways support to students in the following ways:

  • Host seminars, workshops and networking sessions with potential employers both at the Warwick Economic Summit and in the lead up to it. We make an effort to ensure partners in diverse lines of work, from policy to financial management and consultancy are represented in these sessions
  • Mentorship scheme puts WES delegates in touch with WES alumni, many of whom have gone on to be very successful in their chosen fields.
  • WES is also an opportunity for students to hear from experts in a wide variety of professions, providing an opportunity to converse with them about their work and research through interactive Q&As and Meet the Speaker sessions.

Warwick Women in Economics (WWiE)

WWiE provides career pathways support to students in the following ways:

  • Organise networking events, speaker events (inspiring and empowering women series).
  • Operates Mentorship schemes.
  • Organises CV clinics, Cover Letter clinics and mock ACs.
  • Identifies relevant job roles and internship schemes that are targeted at members.

Warwick Finance Societies

Warwick Finance Societies provides students with numerous opportunities to learn more about finance through:

  • Networking events in the Shard.
  • CV and Cover Letter Clinics.
  • Markets Discussions.
  • Mentorship scheme that connects students to industry professionals
  • Careers Portal with invaluable tips and advice on applications and much more.

Rethink Economics

Rethink Economics Warwick (REW) provides career support to students in the following ways:

  • Host speaker presentations, panel discussions and conferences for and in collaboration with the over 110 Rethinking Economics groups in +40 countries.
  • Further students’ career perspectives by providing economic pluralist perspectives in methodology, thought, and people as well as a focus on real world applications and critical thinking.

Warwick Careers Society

The Warwick Careers society aims to promote career diversity and bring visibility to not so well-known careers:

  • Support students through the career exploration journey by holding regular CV clinics, cover letter workshops, a mentorship programme, podcasts, webinars/ talks from professionals and a career conference.
