Warwick Economics in Action

A Warwick economist has won international funding for an innovative research project in Kenya. Professor Christopher Woodruff will assess the ability of low-cost mobile technology to overcome longstanding barriers to credit for small businesses, an issue that is particularly acute in the developing world. The project received the largest grant to date from the Development Innovation Ventures program of the U.S. Agency for International Development.
