Times Higher Education University Rankings 2016/17

The Department of Economics has been ranked 3rd in the UK and 20th in the World according to THE rankings.

The 2016-17 Times Higher Education World Univeristy Rankings' business and economics league table judges world class universities across all of their core missions, using 13 seperate performance indicators. It is a ranking of universities' overall broad provision in the field of business and economics, as opposed to a ranking of individual business schools or specific degree programmes, and it covers academic prestige and research excellence as well as the teaching environment with an emphasis on the undergraduate experience. Only institutions with significant undergraduate numbers in these fields are considered.
