NSS participation rate tops previous years
Thursday 5 May 2016The National Student Survey 2016 closed on 30 April and we are pleased to announce that the final response rate of Economics students is 86%, higher than it has ever been in previous years. This demonstrates the engagement and willingness of the student body to help the Department achieve its aims of providing a top-notch education and student experience.
By way of a thank you, and because we exceeded our target response rate of 83%, we conducted our second prize draw of four £150 Red Letter Days vouchers today. Our previous prize draw saw four students awarded a pair of Graduation Ball tickets when we reached a 75% response rate in four weeks. Leon Izbicki was the winner of one of the Red Letter Days vouchers and said:
I want to thank the Department of Economics for this generous gift. It gives me the opportunity to enjoy the end of my time at the University with the close friends I have found here.
We are now looking forward to receiving the results of the Survey later in the summer, and to reviewing how we can take forward our students' thoughts and suggestions.
Professor Abhinay Muthoo, Head of Department said:
A huge thank you to all the students who engaged with this important survey which helps us to improve year on year
