Economics ranked 1st in the Good University Guide 2020

The Department is proud to announce that Economics at Warwick has been ranked top of the specialist subject table for Economics in the Times and The Sunday Times Good University Guide 2020.

The Good University Guide 2020, published annually by the Times and the Sunday Times at the start of academic year, provides British university rankings based on five categories: teaching quality, student experience, research quality, entry points and graduate prospects. We are particularly pleased to see Economics at Warwick achieving a top score of 92.8% for graduate prospects.

This latest news follows on from our success earlier in the year in The Complete University Guide 2020 league table where we were ranked third.

Professor Jeremy Smith, Head of Department of Economics, said:

“I am delighted that we have reached the top position in this league table and would like to thank all staff and students of the Department who have contributed to it directly through their hard work and dedication. This external recognition is important to us but we are never complacent, continuing to develop further our strengths in research and teaching and attracting top quality staff and students, with our strategic aim to become one of the top 5 Economics Departments in Europe. “
