Economics ranked 4th in the Complete University Guide 2023
Friday 17 Jun 2022The Department is pleased to announce that Economics at Warwick has been ranked 4th out of 81 universities in the Complete University Guide (CUG) 2023 published on 15 June 2022.
The annually compiled guide is based on several criteria, including entry standards, academic and research excellence, student satisfaction and graduate employability data. We have been placed 4th behind Cambridge, Oxford and the LSE overall, with the highest scores for research quality (92%) and graduate prospects (93%).
This follows on from our recent successes of the Department: being ranked 2nd in the UK for research excellence in the Research Excellence Framework (REF) 2021, published in Times Higher Education rankings, as well as being placed 2nd in the Good University Guide 2022.
Professor Jeremy Smith, Head of Department of Economics, said:
"I'm pleased to hear the news about another success for the Department which recognises us for the top quality of our research and teaching, and for preparing our students well for the job market. This is a great achievement which rewards the hard work of staff and students and I'd like to take this opportunity to thank everyone in the Department for their continued hard work and dedication."
