Economics ranked 1st in the Good University Guide 2023

We are delighted that, for the second time in three years, the Department of Economics has reached the top position in the Times and Sunday Times Good University Guide 2023.

The Good University Guide 2023, published annually in September by the Times and Sunday Times, provides British university rankings based on five categories: teaching quality, student experience, research quality, entry points and graduate prospects.

The success follows on from our recent achievement when Warwick Economics ranked 2nd in the UK for research excellenceLink opens in a new window in the Research Excellence Framework (REF) 2021, published by Times Higher Education in May 2022. It also reflects a strong 2022 National Student Survey performance.

Professor Ben Lockwood, Head of Department of Economics, said:

"I am absolutely delighted that we have reached the top position again in this popular league table. I would like to take the opportunity to thank all staff and students at the Department as this achievement would not have been possible without their hard work and dedication."
