Why did you choose Warwick?

I chose Warwick because I loved the idea of studying at a campus university with such a great reputation and one of the best research departments in the country. Since I did my undergraduate degree here, I already knew how amazing the lecturers are and how much I’d enjoy learning from them again. In fact not just the professors, everyone here is so friendly and always happy to help.

What appealed to you about the MSc programme and what skills have you developed?

The MSc program stood out to me because of its flexibility—you can pick modules at the A level (more job-focused) or B level (preparing for a PhD). Warwick’s strong focus on quantitative methods was a huge draw for me because these skills are essential for the kind of career I want to pursue. The program’s emphasis on developing analytical and data-driven problem-solving abilities provides a solid foundation for roles in consulting and beyond. Being able to choose modules tailored to different levels of expertise, whether job-focused or preparing for further academic research, means I could shape my learning experience to match my career aspirations. On top of that, the regular career fairs at Warwick have been incredibly valuable, offering opportunities to connect with industry professionals, learn about potential career paths, and gain insight into what employers are looking for. These aspects of the program and the university have played a key role in preparing me for the future.

What has been the highlight so far?

The best part of Warwick for me has been the societies. There’s something for everyone—academic, professional, and sports. I love sports, so joining sports societies was a great way to meet people and make friends. The sports hub here is one of the best in the UK! During my time here, I’ve learned a lot—how to manage my time better, take responsibility for myself and others, and stay disciplined. I’ve also picked up technical skills like R, Stata, and Excel, which have helped me build my confidence and improve my problem-solving and critical thinking. It’s been a great experience, and through this experience, I've met some wonderful people who have made my time here incredibly memorable.

What are your career aspirations?

Eventually I would like to end up in consulting, this may be after my masters or possibly after a PhD, I haven't really decided yet. Either way I think an MSc has been a step in the right direction. Warwick's offered me many opportunities to double up on the skills I would need to go into this position.
