Maximilian Matthews
MSc Economics Behavioural and Science
Why did you choose Warwick?
I chose Warwick for my MSc in Behavioural and Economics Science because it was a truly interdisciplinary degree. For someone with an economics background, the transition to the Behavioural Science side was exceptional as they are not treated as separate entities but as a synergistic combination of knowledge and application.
What skills have you learnt?
I believe I am attaining a unique skills set of soft and hard skills from utilising R to apply econometrical analysis in a behavioural context to understanding the psychological concepts and nuance that equips me with a unique lens in which to observe economic theory.
What are your career aspirations?
In an ever-changing world, the blend of quantitative and qualitative approaches to problem-solving is even more important. Understanding the Human condition in multiple facets is key to any career aspiration. Mine is to either take up a role as an Economic Analyst or in a behavioural science consultancy.
