CRETA supports Research in Economic Theory and its Applications.

• It fosters and co-ordinates collaborative research in economic theory, in its applications, and in multidisciplinary projects with areas such as applied mathematics, biology, philosophy and political science;
• it creates new, and strengthens existing links with other research centres and universities with related interests;
• it attracts funding for individual and collaborative research projects; and
• it disseminates research results through visits, seminars, conferences, and through the publication of a Discussion Paper series.
