Aleesha Joseph

Originally from the hill station of Wayanad in Kerala, I received my training in economics amidst the intellectual bustle of Delhi. Prior to commencing the MRes, I worked as a predoctoral research assistant under Prof. Sonia Bhalotra at the University of Warwick and as a field research associate at J-PAL South Asia.

My past explorations meandered around the domains of gender, education, mental health, and governance. I now look forward to deepening my methodological foundations through the MRes, while remaining open to belief revisions and preference updates as enlightenment emerges along the journey. During my PhD, I aspire to establish a steady-state relationship with the economics of mental health —albeit with a willingness to accommodate stochastic intellectual shocks.
