Proposal to change exam rubric

Details of the exam rubrics of our modules were published to students at the start of the Autumn Term. Since then, the University has announced that all exams will be held online in 2020/21. It is recognised that, had the University policy to hold all exams online been decided and announced before the start of 2020/21, some module leaders might have proposed to change the format of the exam for their module. The Contingency Planning Group (CPG) are concerned that, particularly in Year 1 modules which are impacted by the larger student intake this year, marking and moderating burdens may become prohibitive this year.

All UG and MSc module leaders are asked to reflect on the final exam for their module(s) and to complete this form should they wish to propose a change to the exam structure. The deadline for receiving your proposals is Monday 30 November, 9am. Where you are the module leader for more than one module, please submit a separate form for each module. CPG will consider all proposals but reserves the rights of veto and to suggest an alternative, for example, where this best fits within the Department’s resourcing constraints.

This form is closed and is no longer accepting any submissions. Thank you for your time.
