EPP Director Prof Christoph Hoerl Co-Authors Article in Behavioral and Brain Sciences
EPP Director Christoph Hoerl has co-authored an article "Thinking in and about Time: A Dual Systems Perspective on Temporal Cognition" published in the journal Behavioral and Brain Sciences in December 2019 (written together with Teresa McCormack from the School of Psychology at Queen's University Belfast). This is accompanied by 33 commentaries on the article written by philosophers and researchers working in comparative, developmental and cognitive psychology, as well as by a response to those commentaries by Christoph and Teresa.
Christoph's main ares of research are the philosophy of mind and the philosophy of time, with a special interest in temporal experience and the nature of memory. Together with Teresa McCormack, he currently leads the interdisciplinary research project "Time: Between Metaphysics and Psychology", which is funded by the UK Arts and Humanities Research Council.
