LawCareersNet LIVE Manchesteretc venues, 11 Portland Street, ManchesterThe LawCareersNetLIVE events are intensive, one-day student conferences where excellent candidates discover how law firms really work, looking at the business drivers of national and international law firms and how a career might progress in this sort of firm. Delegate fee: £29 (payable on acceptance of delegate place). We are offering a number of free places across our LawCareersNetLIVE events to delegates from low socio-economic backgrounds, and those who might not be able to afford the delegate fee. Bar Council’s 19th Annual Law Reform LectureThe Lecture will be given by The Rt. Hon. Lord Carnwath of Notting Hill and Inger Anderson, Under-Secretary-General of the United Nations and Executive Director of the UN Environment Programme. It will tackle the role of law reform in the context of climate change, bringing international and UK perspectives to different legislative initiatives. There will also be an announcement of the 2021 Law Reform Essay Competition winners and questions from the audience. |

The event is open to everyone and we hope that it will be a source of inspiration for those Warwick students, staff and alumni who have already volunteered as part of the Warwick in Africa programme or hope to do so in the future. |

DiversCity in Law: Free online LGBTQ+ legal careers eventFirms will include RPC, Reed Smith, Weil, Milbank, Pinsent Masons, Mayer Brown, Sidley, Ashurst, Ropes & Gray, Hogan Lovells, Latham & Watkins, Linklaters, BCLP, Covington, CMS, White & Case and Arnold and Porter. This event has been created to help LGBTQ+ Undergraduate and Postgraduate students find out more about potential careers in law with our participating firms. We’ll be discussing being LGBTQ+ in the workplace and specific graduate and internship schemes. After the event, students can apply for mentoring opportunities with our clients too. |
