Equality, Diversity and Inclusivity: Law School Information SessionLaw School Student HubThe session will clarify and inform minority students on the multitude of ED&I resources available to aspiring solicitors in the legal world. We will be discussing the variety of inclusion first year/vacation schemes within particular firms, the inclusion criteria for recruitment assistance programmes such as RARE Recruitment and the various diversity support groups within law firms. The session will be hosted by the UG ED&I Law School Officer / Warwick Law Society Careers Officer and a successful RARE Recruitment candidate / WFS Deputy Head of Commercial Awareness. Come along and ask any questions you may have - we look forward to seeing you there! |

Financial Services Seminar Series 2021-2022“FCA Enforcement: Investigation Overview” with Samir Manek, Associate at Mishcon de Reya LLP and a Warwick Law School alumnus. Samir Manek graduated from the University of Warwick in 2012. He trained as a solicitor at Allen & Overy and then worked at the Financial Conduct Authority from 2017 to 2020. Whilst at the FCA, he worked in the Enforcement and Supervision divisions on a range of contentious and non-contentious matters. He was seconded to the position of Assistant Private Secretary to the Executive Director of Enforcement and Market Oversight and reverse mentored the Head of Corporate Responsibility. He is now an Associate in Mishcon de Reya's Financial Services Regulatory practice. Samir is active in the diversity and inclusion space which has led to his appointment as an Advisory Board member to the HM Treasury and Department for Business, Energy & Industrial Strategy commissioned taskforce to boost socio-economic diversity in UK financial and professional services. |

Minesh Tanna is a Solicitor Advocate and Global AI Lead at the law firm, Simmons & Simmons. He is also Chair of the Society for Computers and Law (SCL) AI Group. |
