My Law Degree: What Next?This useful session is for finalists wanting legal work experience and entry pathway advice to different roles & PG courses, typically undertaken by law graduates. A wide variety of opportunities will be covered including: finding employers who have designed work matching your skill-set, what employers want, how to up-skill & impress, plus what to do if Law is not for you. |

WLS Skills Session: Getting a Good Degree - Coursework and Exam TipsS0.18/TeamsOpen to all UG students. In this session, we will be exploring what makes a high-grade law assignment. We will cover some technical and logistical tips, including how assignments are graded at the University. After evaluating a draft essay to understand how to apply marking criteria, we will go over some brief guidance for both essay and problem questions. This is a hybrid event. WLS Skills Session: Time ManagementS0.20Open to all UG students. Join us for our second academic skills session on time management. We will consider why time management is such a problem (for everyone!), and how we can effectively manage our time. In the workshop, you will design your own individual study schedule to help you manage your workload. The workshop will also include some tips on productivity and staying focused. |

Law School UG Module FairR0.21/Law SchoolThe Module Fair will give you an opportunity to engage with lectures, hear about the various modules we run in the department, and help you decide how to shape the rest of your Law degree. 📚 Additionally, we have invited colleagues from the Language Centre, IATL and LinC to share more about their offering. This is the plan for the day: 11:00-12:00 - R0.21 - Module selection briefing for all students 12:00-13:00 - Hub - Lunch for students and staff 13:00-15:00 - across WLS - Module Fair |

WLS Skills Session: Reading SourcesS0.20Open to all UG students. Rachael is running a final session on how to read (legal) sources. In the workshop, we will consider why (legal) sources can be so difficult to read. The workshop will then be broken down into three sections: how to find relevant sources; how to analyse sources; and, how to use sources in our assignments. |
