RIGG Network to host Disruption, Decarbonisation and Reparations Conference
From 2-3 September, Warwick’s Research in Global Governance Network (RiGG-NET) is hosting an international interdisciplinary two-day event (on MS Teams) called Disruption, Decarbonisation and Reparations that brings together activists, civil society leaders, and academics working towards the common goal of climate justice.
The discussion will include topical conversations on the movement for a Green New Deal, intersections of race and climate justice, and critiques of capitalist and private property frameworks. Combatting the climate crisis demands organisation and unity, across sectors and demographics. The event is therefore designed to encourage fruitful collaborations moving forward between activists, policy-makers, and academics in this area. All are welcome to attend this exciting and interactive event. For more information, visit our event page and to attend, register here.
The event is hosted by Warwick Law PhD candidates Harpreet Kaur Paul and Sahar Shah, RiGG-NET’s coordinators Celine Tan and Alex Homolar, and Leon Sealey-Huggins from Warwick’s School of Global Sustainable Development. The event was made possible through financial support from RiGG-NET and the Solberga Foundation.
