Dr Serena Natile is new Editor-in-Chief of the International Journal of Law in Context

Dr Serena Natile, Associate Professor at Warwick Law School, is the new Editor-in-Chief of the International Journal of Law in Context, a leading socio-legal journal published by Cambridge University Press. Serena will be working along Prof Penelope Andrews, Prof Marc Hertogh and Prof David Nelken.

The International Journal of Law in Context provides a forum for interdisciplinary legal studies and offers intellectual space for ground-breaking critical research. It publishes contextual work about law and its relationship with other disciplines including but not limited to science, literature, humanities, philosophy, sociology, psychology, ethics, history and geography. The journal aims to explore and expand the boundaries of law and legal studies.

Serena told us, “I feel so privileged to join the EiC team of one of the most renowned journals for ‘law in context’ scholarship. I first met the IJLC editors in 2017 at the Law in Context Early Career Workshop, where I had the opportunity to present and receive feedback on an article that was later published in the journal. I then joined the editorial team as assistant editor in 2018 and I was promoted to managing editor in 2020. I have learned so much from fellow editors and the CUP team and I will keep working to support and promote the research of early career scholars from different locations and backgrounds.”

Congratulations Serena!
