Former LLB student and Chief Executive of the Society of Authors Nicola Solomon was awarded an OBE in the 2025 King's New Year’s Honours list for services to Literature and the Creative Industries.

On her LinkedIn profile, Nicola (LLB Law, 1981) shared: "I'm so thrilled to have been awarded an OBE [...] I will continue to advocate for a better deal for creators in all areas from copyright to contracts, funding, and working conditions to enable them to continue to create the works that enchant, inform and inspire us all." Congratulations Nicola.
