Inside the mind of an International Criminal Court judge: Sir Howard Morrison QC

Sir Howard Morrison QC has been appointed an honorary professor at Warwick Law School. In his new role he will be teaching on the Law School's undergraduate and postgraduate International Criminal Law modules. He will also be an invaluable contributor to other courses including practical advocacy. Lacuna Magazine has interviewed Judge Morrison about his extensive law career and his experience as a judge in the International Criminal Court, asking what advice he has for today's law students.

Law Alumna elected as SU President

Shingai Dzumbira, who studied on our LLB 3 year degree from 2016-2019 has been elected as the President of the Student Union (SU) for the 2021/22 academic year. “I am really excited. I have a rare opportunity to lead the trajectory of a charity organisation that exists to represent students. I think that’s what excites me most – being put in a place where I can impact the lives of students at the University of Warwick.”

Law School Alumnus releases debut novel

Former LLM student Saurabh Bagaria, who studied on our international Economic Law programme from 2007-2008 has written and published his first novel titled “Money Gone”. In this book, he combines creative writing and legal nuances to produce a work of legal fiction involving the current and relevant issues of money laundering and crypto-currency.

Warwick alumna Madhu Mehra has been named in Apolitical’s 100 Most Influential People in Gender Policy for 2021. Madhu who studied on our LLM in International Development Law and Human Rights (previously Law in Development) from 1991-1992, is now Head of Research and Training at Partners for Law in Development (PLD).
