Successful ‘Conversations and Coffee’ project returns for its second year
Following its success last year, the Conversation and Coffee project returns for a second year and is looking for new volunteers. The collaborative venture seeks to create an informal space where student volunteers and local community members can come together over free coffee and cake, to practise and improve English speaking, build connections, and foster intercultural awareness.

‘Conversations and Coffee’ project brews success by connecting communities
In a new initiative aimed at fostering community connections, Professor Jane Bryan of Warwick Law School and Farina Butt, owner of Milk and Mocha Coffee Shop in Kenilworth and Managing Director at Education4All, have joined forces to launch the ‘Conversations and Coffee’ project.
WLS student represents Team GB 7s in Leg 2 of Rugby Europe 2023.
Ollie Monye, who is currently studying on our 3-year LLB degree, represented Team GB 7s in Hamburg, Germany for Leg 2 of Rugby Europe 2023. They placed 4th in the competition playing against Belgium, Lithuania, France, Germany and Ireland.
Law students put school exclusions in the spotlight
When a school decides to exclude a child, it can be a very challenging and uncertain time, not only for the child or young person, but also for their parents and carers.
To help support families through the process, Warwickshire County Council have been working in partnership with The University of Warwick, Bailey Wright and Co Solicitors and Warwickshire Parent Carer Voice to create a resource families can use to better understand the law and their rights.
