Former LLM student supports African Entrepreneurs

Former Warwick LLM student, Anna Celuch, who recently graduated with a distinction will soon be packing her bags to help local African entrepreneurs build anna1successful businesses.

Anna travelled from Poland to study International Economic Law at Warwick University, and went on to be awarded Top Postgraduate Performer in IEL 2016/17.

Following her success, she now works at Social Investment Business in London, but early next year will embark upon a three month volunteering programme with the International Citizen Service and Balloon Ventures. As a part of their unique ‘Balloon ICS’ programme, Anna will support local micro-entrepreneurs in Uganda or Kenya build successful businesses- helping the local economy, creating jobs and improving lives.

anna3"I am very proud about the opportunity because I believe Balloon ICS creates a viable, sustainable path for helping local communities in these countries, and it strikes a chord with my personal beliefs and the spirit of our IEL programme, for which I can never be grateful enough.”

Prior to departure, Anna is hoping to raise £800 to help further the work of ICS (International Citizen Service), and allow more future volunteers to work on projects. If you would like to help support this work you can make a donation through her JustGiving page.

Or to find out more about the work she will be doing you can visit Balloon Venture’s website.
