Title: The Anthropocene: This Changes Everything

Abstract: The Anthropocene challenges all existing epistemologies, ontologies, axiologies and ethics because the rupture to the Earth system and the climate crisis affect everybody, everywhere and everything. While it is clear that business as usual is hurtling us to disaster, less attention is focused on the ways in which law as usual normalises ecological destruction. The planetary emergency calls for a paradigm shift in legal theory and law teaching suggested by new materialism amongst other approaches.
