Ana Deborah is an interdisciplinary researcher with an undergraduate degree in International Relations from the University of Belo Horizonte, Brazil, and a graduate degree in Human Security from Aarhus University, Denmark. Her main interests lie on the intersection of Gender and Data, and the sociopolitical aspects linked to health, food security and land rights, especially in Latin America.

Prior to her role at Warwick Law School, Ana was a researcher for the Data-Feminism Programme at Data-Pop Alliance and worked for Doctors without Borders as a fundraiser and HR assistant. She has also volunteered for a collective of migrant, refugee and stateless women in Minas Gerais Brazil and conducted research for the city hall of Belo Horizonte's economic recovery plan during the COVID-19 crisis. She considers herself a third-culture kid, having spent large portions of her childhood and adolescence in Mexico, the United States and Brazil.
