Scholarship

Rachel's main research interests focus on the regulation of family life and the role of class and gender from historical and modern perspectives. Her work explores the relationship between poverty and public intervention into private life, with particular interest in the regulation of children by the State. She is also currently an editor for a leading Family Law textbook.

Bio

Rachel joined Warwick Law School in 2023. Prior to this, she worked as an Assistant Professor at Exeter Law School from 2019-2023. Rachel holds a PhD and a LLB (Hons) from Warwick Law School and is also a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy (2021). Rachel has won numerous prestigious awards including a Queen Mother Scholarship from the Honourable Society of Middle Temple Inn (2013) and a Diversity Access Scholarship from the Law Society (2013).
