Event: Centre for Human Rights in Practice to launch collaborative report exploring the impact of spending cuts on BAME women on Monday 8 July 2013

The Centre for Human Rights in Practice has worked in partnership with Coventry Women’s Voices, Coventry Ethnic Minority Action Partnership and Foleshill Women’s Training to produce a new report: “Layers of Inequality: A Human Rights and Equality Impact Assessment of the Public Spending Cuts on Black, Asian and Minority Ethnic Women in Coventry”

The report, which has been co-authored by Kalwinder Sandhu (Coventry Women’s Voices), Mary-Ann Stephenson (Coventry Women’s Voices and the Centre for Human Rights in Practice) and James Harrison (Centre Co-Director, Centre for Human Rights in Practice) will be officially launched on Monday 8 July 2013 at an event led by Marcia Jarrett (Coventry Ethnic Minority Action Partnership), Kindy Sandhu (Coventry Women’s Voices), Pragna Patel (Southall Black Sisters), Yvonne Mosquito (Deputy Police and Crime Commissioner for the West Midlands) and Mary-Ann Stephenson (Coventry Women’s Voices and Centre for Human Rights in Practice)
