Lacuna: Bloggers/Social media assistants
We are looking for candidates who are keen to learn the nuts and bolts of online journalism, developing stories from first draft to front page. An interest in human rights is vital and the ideal candidates will regularly bring ideas for new content. You’ll work with Lacuna’s editor to upload multimedia stories to the website, grow Lacuna’s social media profiles and promote our content to the widest possible audience.

Some background in online publishing/blogging would be handy, as would an understanding of content marketing and the potential of social media for reaching new audiences. The successful candidates will be enthusiastic and reliable, and expected to come into the office during a weekly half-day on a Tuesday or Wednesday (or at a mutually convenient time to be arranged). This position is paid at approx. £13 per hour.
To apply, please write a Lacuna-style blog post (max 300 words) relating to one of the stories on our site or another human rights issue of your choice.
