Mooting opportunity for Warwick students

** ELSA Human Rights Mooting Competition in Strasbourg**
Applications for the international ELSA Human Rights mooting competition in Strasbourg are now open.
Teams will consist of two mooters and two researchers to help out with the workload. Travel and accommodation will be paid for.
To apply, please write 200-250 words detailing your mooting/debating/public speaking experience and why you would like to participate by Monday, 26th October 2015 by 12pm to Zakir Mohamed: zakir.mohamed@warwick.ac.uk, and Pavithra Prakash Nair: P.Prakash-Nair@warwick.ac.uk
Russell Stetler talk on death penalty Mon 26 Oct at 2.00
Our Death Penalty Project are excited to announce that Russell Stetler, a Californian-based Capital Defence Attorney will be giving a presentation at Warwick on Monday, 26th October at 2.30pm. This is a fantastic opportunity for all students, particularly those who are interested in securing a place on the Warwick Death Penalty Internship Programme and anyone who is interested in finding out more about the flaws in the US legal system.

Freedom of Speech week - Poetry workshop
Poetry Workshop

Join us for an inter-active poetry workshop on Freedom of Speech with Laila Sumpton. Laila is a member of the Keats House Poets Forum and she has recently been working on poetry projects related to human rights with the Centre for Human Rights in Practice and Lacuna magazine.
This workshop is part of the Freedom of Speech week coordinated by the Humanities Research Centre. The activities include:

- Local Perspectives - Warwick and the World University Service - Monday 16th November - 5.00 pm
- Histories of Freedom of Speech, Ancient and Modern - Tuesday 17th November - 5.00 pm
