WLS Women’s Health Network (Please note that these pages are still in development)

With our work towards our Athena Swan Silver award in 2024, and a successful menopause workshop in May 2024, there is clear need for greater support and information around the menopause and other women’s health issues. With guidance from the WLS EDI Committee, and staff and students, the Women’s Health Network aims to support all our staff and students.
The initial focus for the Women’s Health Network will be menopause support, but we will gradually expand this to other women’s health issues, as we as developing practice around: people’s needs, programmes of work around information, making women’s problems visible at work, reasonable adjustments and returning to work or studies after longer periods of absence.
The following resources have been put together to signpost you to the various support available in the UK – it is not a definitive list, but these are some of the main resources available. Amongst the information available at these websites, you will find not only general medical care, but also case studies, podcasts, webinars, research, etc… We have the world at our fingertips to improve our own women’s health and wellbeing, and to influence and promote better health and wellbeing amongst others to support each other.
Information about our current initiatives and resources, which you might find useful, can be found here and there is also a “Get in touch” page if you have any feedback, ideas or suggestions.
