Careers Support
As you start your studies with us, your future career may be the last thing on your mind. Law Careers are competitive, so it is helpful to start planning ahead and get advice early on.
Applications to many UK based employer work experience schemes, including Law Insight Days for first years, open late summer and have early deadlines e.g. end of October. There will be lots of opportunities to meet legal and non-legal recruiters. Many of these employer talks and Careers Fairs happen in the Autumn term, including the October Law Careers Fair. There are also specific events and support for those interested in working internationally.
In the Law School we have a dedicated Senior Careers Consultant, Samantha Brown who works Mondays to Fridays. Do visit the Careers pages of the Law School to find out more about what support and opportunities are on offer. If you would like to discuss your career planning, you should book a ‘careers guidance appointment’ with Sam via myAdvantageLink opens in a new window. Details of how to do this can be found on the Law School Careers pages.
