Winter celebrations for PAIS Graduates
PAIS hosted an exciting graduation reception in to honour the achievements of their Postgraduate Taught and Postgraduate Research graduates. The event hosted on Friday afternoon after the ceremony was held at the Panorama room in our Rootes building. Our event was open to our graduating class, their friends, family and loved ones and it gave them the opportunity to connect with their fellow grandaunts allowing their incredible achievements to sink in.
At the event our Head of Department, Matthew Clayton, Former Director of Postgraduate Studies, Phillipe Blanchard and Current Director of Postgraduate studies Ben Clift, gave speeches on how proud they are of our student’s achievements as well as wishing them well as they begin their careers in Politics.
Guests also enjoyed refreshments and took advantage photo opportunities, with their classmates and mentors. Special awards were also presented to students who had demonstrated outstanding academic performance, leadership, and contributions to the PAIS community.
The winners of these awards included:
Ruotong Zhang won the Tim Sinclair prize
Joe Earnshaw won the prize for Best Overall Performance in the Postgraduate Degree in Politics, Big Data and Quantitative methods.
Sam Webb was awarded a prize for the Best Overall Performance in the Postgraduate Degree in International Relations.
Declan Webster won the prize Best Overall Performance in the Postgraduate Degree in Public Policy
Elise Atkins-Louis was awarded Best Overall Performance in the Postgraduate Degree in International Security
