Double Degree with VUB Brussels

The new Double Masters in Politics, International Studies and European Integration is the result of the growing partnership between the University of Warwick and Vrije Universiteit Brussel (VUB) as part of the Warwick in Europe initiative. PAIS has forged close links with the Brussels School of Governance (BSoG)Link opens in a new window at VUB to enable you to study in both the centre of England and the heart of Europe. BSoG is an alliance between the Institute for European Studies (VUB), which is a Jean Monnet Centre of Excellence and a policy think tank that focuses on the European Union in an international setting, and Vesalius College. It is one of the largest EU and global governance knowledge hubs in Europe with an international staff of more than 200 people.

During year one in PAIS, you will choose from our extensive range of MA programmes and options. In Brussels, in year two, you will join the Advanced Masters in European Integration at the BSoGLink opens in a new window, exploring EU institutions, policies and law within the context of globalisation and global governance. Teaching at the BSoG takes place in the evening, affording students on the Double Masters excellent opportunities to secure daytime work experience alongside their studies. The Brussels School of Governance has strong connections in the political and non-governmental community in Brussels with extensive links to EU institutions, NATO Headquarters and a range of governmental and diplomatic services, non-governmental organisations and the world’s largest press centre. Your studies at the BSoG will offer opportunities to interact with policy-makers and other stakeholders as well as world class scholars, thus extending your networks in Brussels and beyond, while you analyse the future role of the EU in regional and international politics.
