This interdisciplinary mini-workshop will draw on recent work in psychology, AI and philosophy to shed light on how we engage in mathematical activities. The focus will be on how we achieve mathematical discoveries, from the most rudimentary discoveries of infants to the most advanced discoveries of ancient mathematicians.
