SO373-15 Work Placement
Students start preparing for the module during year 2 and find a summer placement with employers of their choice. Through this phase guidance and support with applications is available if required.
Once a placement or work experience scheme is offered, students need to register their interest on the module and will be considered through an internal selection process for a place on the module. After the placement, on returning to the University during term 1, the module offers a workshop with all participating students to share and discuss the work experiences. At this session and available one-to-one sessions, guidance is provided on the preparation of the assessments - a reflective essay and poster presentation.
