William Barylo
William Barylo is a research fellow in sociology. His current project ‘The Diaspora Strikes Back,‘ supported by the British Academy, explores how Muslim millennials in Europe and North America craft a fairer society through their cultural heritage, religious ethics, arts, the protection of the environment and mental health. He illustrates his research through film documentaries and fictions exploring how people navigate race, class and gender barriers from a decolonial and restorative perspective. He has directed the documentary ‘Polish Muslims: an unexpected meeting‘ and is the author of ‘Young Muslim Change-Makers‘.
