We regularly ask for feedback, in the form of snap shot surveys and an annual Programme Quality Review. This enables us to understand how the scheme is working and to ensure we are giving our mentors and mentees the best possible experience and development opportunities.

John Peters John Peters came to the world’s attention in January 1991, when as a prisoner of war, his disfigured image became a potent symbol of Saddam Hussein’s ruthless aggression. He has written two best-selling books and the documentary, ‘Tornado Down’ was Independent Documentary of the Year and a BAFTA Award Nominee.

Since leaving the RAF, he has worked working internationally providing business critical development, consulting, and coaching through a leadership lens. Using his Gulf War, POW experience, international media exposure, award-winning Human Factors development programme in high-performance aviation, and 20 years’ consultancy experience, John challenges leaders’ approach to uncertainty, organisational learning, trust and failure.

Review and Reflect: How is the relationship going with your mentor?

Whether you have 6months remaining, or 18 months to go …it is good practice to review and reflect.

As we begin a New Year, it’s the perfect time, to reflect on your sessions and progress to make sure you are on track in terms of goals; have they changed ? Are there other factors to consider. How are sessions going? Do any adaptations need making, have your goals changed? Do you have new topics to address?
