WBS Mentoring Programme: Pre-Induction Information
To make the most of your induction and to allow for a smoother session, please read / review the following documents, as outlined in your joining instructions. NB: Your understanding, answers and observations will be needed, to participate in the online induction:

1. Role Play video
Observe this interaction between a WBS Mentee & Mentor. see: A Mentoring Relationship!
When watching the short video (5mins) please make notes and consider the following:-
- What do you observe about the relationship between the Mentor and the Mentee?
- Why do you think she didn’t get the job?
- Who do you think is driving this relationship?
- If you were a Mentee what would you like to hear?
- What questions could the Mentor ask to help the Mentee?
IMPORTANT: Participants will be asked to answer questions and discuss further at the online induction.
2. Watch: Cultural Awareness: [1 hour]
This recording will help set the foundation and extend your understanding for the small break-out group work. It is optional. Note, break-out rooms will include a mix of mentors and mentees.
