TELEPRESENCE - SNEAK PREVIEW OF NEW SERVICE
IT Services are shortly to start offering a high definition video conferencing service at the University that will be cost-free to individual departments and users. Warwick will be the first university in the UK to have such advanced facilities, all of which were negotiated by IT Services at no cost as part of the network replacement project. One of the five units secured is based in WBS (in the Dean's Meeting room). Further details will follow when IT Services are ready to offer demonstrations of the equipment (please contact help@wbs.ac.uk if you have a particular interest in this new service). Until then interested staff may wish to view the short (2 minute) video on the Cisco website at http://www.cisco.com/en/US/prod/ps7060/ps8329/ps8330/ps10340/telepresence_system_1300_series.html
