Profile (biography)

Adrian studies people using the old-school approach of living alongside them for an appreciable period of time. Those studied through ethnography include prison officers and (less directly) a group of pedophile hunters. Such extreme contexts feature prominently in his fieldwork and emerging writing on topics like occupational dilemmas and risk management. Prior to WBS, Adrian was an ESRC scholar for his Doctoral studies at the Judge Business School, University of Cambridge.

Research interests

Organizational theory, studies of processes in organizations, occupational socialization, qualitative research methods (especially ethnography and fieldwork), frontline work.
