Profile (biography)
Sarah joined WBS in November 2019 after completing her PhD in Business and Management at Warwick Business School. Her research focuses on understanding how organizations and teams collectively orchestrate strategy, innovation and change in complex and dynamic environments. Prior to joining academia, Sarah worked as a Board Director in the NHS and more recently, as a Non-Executive Board Director in the housing sector. She has had a varied career working in consultancy, managerial and scientific roles, across healthcare and not for profit sectors.
Sarah completed her undergraduate scientific training at Manchester University (BSc. Cell Biology) and holds a PhD (Immunology & Biochemistry) from Birmingham University
Research interests
Strategy as practice and process; strategic leadership and management practices; innovation; managerial judgment; top manager and middle manager relations and dynamics; organizational change; process and practice theories of sociology and management; ethnographic and qualitative research methods; organizing healthcare and not for profit services.
