WBS Masters Student Experience

During your studies at WBS we offer many opportunities to engage with events outside of your academic studies. These provide further opportunities to develop both professionally and personally.

We also encourage you to regularly look at resources in the Student Handbook and on my.wbs for support and guidance during your journey in the WBS Student Community.

Curious about what’s available? All the information you need is just below.

Transferrable Skills

These are sometimes referred to as co-curricular skills and work alongside your Academic Programme to support your learning and development. We offer sessions on Academic Writing, Examination Skills and even the chance to learn a Foreign Language.

Management Insight Series

Take part in our exclusive Management Insight Series. In both Terms 1 and 2, we welcome three distinguished guest speakers. Students who attend 4 out of the 6 sessions will receive a certificate at a presentation in the final session and Warwick Award points.

Social and Wellbeing Events

These events give you a chance to unwind and have fun with your peers, and get to know others in the WBS Community during your time studying with us. Information on how to get involved will be posted on my.wbs Guidance on how spaces are allocated and FAQ’s can be found here.

Presentation Skills

We will be running 3 sessions around presentation skills to enhance your academic journey and employability. Build your skills and confidence.

Students who attend all 3 sessions will receive Warwick Award points.

Professional Environment Series

The Professional Environment Series is designed to equip postgraduate students with the key skills to thrive in academic and professional settings. Students who attend 4 out of the 5 sessions will receive a certificate at a presentation and Warwick Award points.

Join the Community Voice Group (CVG)

The CVG is a voluntary group of postgraduate students who share feedback on key topics to help improve the student experience.

Students who participate in 2 out of 3 meetings will receive a certificate signed by the Dean, Warwick Award points and a branded water bottle! Interested? Apply here.
