University of Warwick has received two transformative philanthropic gifts from XTX Markets, a leading algorithmic trading firm. These donations represent a major investment in Warwick’s academic excellence, funding two distinct postgraduate initiatives: PhD students in pure mathematics, and Master’s students in the educational and research reconstruction of Ukraine.

After an extremely rich discussion with our members over the last year and the broader community during the conference we hosted in Brussels last month, we now present four recommendations for alliances that have identified research as an important part of their activities.

Antoni Palacki, a Biomedical Science student at the University of Warwick, recently completed an extraordinary summer research placement at Nanyang Technological University (NTU), Singapore, as part of the Global Connect Fellowship (GCF) programme. Antoni, currently on an industrial placement year at the UK Health Security Agency, described the fellowship as 'the best summer of my life,' highlighting its profound impact on his academic development and career aspirations.
