Explore the unique opportunities of research in a number of areas of synthetic biology. Develop a better understanding of biological systems as well as cutting-edge biotechnology.

This is the first UK Council for Graduate Education conference to focus exclusively on PGT education. Postgraduate taught education is often thought to be ‘precariously’ placed between undergraduate and postgraduate research levels, which means that challenges and developments in PGT programmes are sometimes obscured by a lack of a clear institutional identity for PGT provision.

This conference looks at some of the key issues in PGT provision – from widening participation to employability to innovations in teaching and assessment – and aims to create a community of practice for those involved with the teaching and administration of PGT education.

In a new format, Inspiring Women events will include an engaging keynote speaker, along with an interactive workshop designed to get you thinking about your own career journeys. This time, hear from Maureen McLaughlin, Director of Education Policy and Quality, and focus on the topic of career resilience.

‘Creativity in Mind’ drop-in sessions are open to any staff and students who would like to take part in artist-led, creative activities at the same time as exploring the benefits of creativity for positive mental wellbeing.

Staff who wish to improve the learning experience for transgender and gender-diverse students are now able to attend a teaching workshop to explore the guidance and develop existing best practice at Warwick.

The second in our Science on the Hill series of free public science evenings will focus on the growing threat of antibiotic resistance to human health.
