Email calendar sharing fix
Some customers, using 'live@Edu', are unable to view the contents of shared calendars. To resolve this problem you need to repair your Outlook profile.
For instructions on how to do this please click here.
Resource Account Passwords
As part of the migration to Live@edu, resource account passwords are automatically changed. This will not affect most people, as they do not use a password to access their resource account. If you do log-on to the resource account using a password, the owner of the resource account needs to call the helpdesk on x73737.
Sharing of Calendars/Folders
When you have been migrated to Live@edu, you will not be able to edit calendars and folders belonging to other people whilst they remain on the in-house Exchange system (you will still be able to see free/busy calendar details in order to help you schedule meetings). Please call the helpdesk on x73737 if this will be a problem for your department.
Staff Email Migration
It is our intention to move all staff to the Live@edu service by end of 2012. Information on the Migration Project is now available including FAQs and Migration Timetable.
Staff Webmail: Some Changes
You may notice some changes to Warwick's staff webmail service over the next few weeks.
Away from Campus over Easter?
If you are going to be away from the campus over the easter break, IT Services has a range of Collaborative Tools which can be used to gain access to files, email and attend meetings.
Do you use the Mail Relays directly?
Although all email in and out of the University passes through the Mail Relays, most people will not be aware of them. However a small number of individuals/departments connect to the Relays directly to send mail directly from applications.
During the Autumn term, we will be replacing the current Mail Relays with a new mechanism for relaying. While you will still be able to connect to this system, it is important we understand your current use, so we can incorporate your requirements into the project.

Email Synchronisation Issue on Mobile Phones
We have received a number of calls recently regarding email not being received/synchronised on mobile phones. This is as a result of the Security Certificate (SSL) being updated on the Exchange Servers.
If you have a Nokia or Android phone (HTC, Samsung etc) you should run a manual synchronisation and when prompted select ‘Accept Certificate Permanently’. Once this has been done, email will be received/synchronised automatically as before.
On some older phones, this certificate will not be recognised. If you are still having problems, please log a call with the IT Services Helpdesk.
