Applications for Leverhulme Early Careers Fellowships for 2024/2025 entry now open

The Faculty of Arts at the University of Warwick encourages outstanding postdoctoral scholars to apply for the Leverhulme Trust Early Career Fellowships scheme, for Fellowships hosted at Warwick starting in the 2024/2025 academic year. Please note that initial applications/expressions of interest need to be sent to Alan Ashton-Smith, the Research and Strategy Manager for the Faculty of Arts (Alan.Ashton-Smith@warwick.ac.uk) by 5pm Thursday 30 November 2023 containing the following information:

  • A short description of the proposed project (maximum 2 A4 pages)
  • A copy of the applicant's CV (maximum 2 A4 pages)
  • The name of an academic in their proposed host Department or School. Candidates should contact their prospective mentor in advance of submitting an Expression of Interest.
  • The names of three referees. Please note that referees will not be asked to provide a statement at this stage.

Dr Joy Malala awarded Warwick’s Research Development Fund Strategic Award

Professor Munro secures University Policy Support Funding for two upcoming research projects

Please note that initial applications need to be sent to Colette Kelly, Research Support Officer for the Faculty of Arts (colette.kelly@warwick.ac.uk) by 3pm on Friday 25th November 2022 containing the following information:

  • A short description of their project (maximum 2 A4 pages)
  • A copy of their CV (maximum 2 A4 pages)
  • The name of their proposed mentor at the University of Warwick
  • The name of three referees (please note that referees will not need to provide a statement for the internal selection round).

Applications now open for fully-funded PhD Studentship (fees and maintenance) with the Lord Leycester Hospital

The studentship is funded through the Midlands4Cities Doctoral Training PartnershipLink opens in a new window and will start in October 2023. The Department of History has partnered with the Lord Leycester Hospital to offer a project on ‘Almshouse, Guild and Town Community: The Lord Leycester Hospital in its Urban Setting’. In addition to the PhD research the successful candidate will also gain experience and training in contributing to outreach and public engagement activities, including developing an exhibition.
