Brief Outage for Server Crocus' - 15 July

Brief outage for server Crocus Thursday 15 July between 18:00 and 18:30
- Home directories (File store) – home directories on Crocus will be unavailable
- Unix Email - email will not be affected unless people have scripts which run from their home directories on Crocus to pre-process their mail. Under these circumstance mail will not be lost but may be delayed.
- Web sites – sites hosted by Crocus will be unavailable during this time
- MySQL databases (using v 3.23.41 and v 4.0.20)
Sitebuilder Maintenance Tuesday 6th July
We have to perform some maintenance on the Sitebuilder servers ahead of the planned shutdown of the ITS Datacentre early in August.
As part of this activity, we will be making Sitebuilder/www2.warwick.ac.uk read-only for approximately 30 minutes next Tuesday, the 6th of July, from 9:15 to 9:45am.
During this period, viewing pages on the website should work as normal. However, editing pages (including uploading files, editing properties, etc), submitting forms, or commenting on pages will not be possible.

On Sunday the 30 May between 10:00 and 11:00, we will be undertaking maintenance on a database server that supports a number of web applications. Between these times the following applications will be unavailable for approximately 30 minutes each. No downtime is expected beyond 11:00.

WANTED - Students for Focus Groups

e-citizen qualification
The IT Services Training Team have a limited number of registrations that are now being offered, free of charge, to University staff on a first come first served basis. Please note that if you register for the qualification you will be required to take the test before the 30th June 2010.
e-Citizen is a fun and simple way for people to learn how to use the Internet and email. It features simulated websites so that people can familiarize themselves with how a website operates, whilst also learning how to use the Internet safely and securely.
