All students have been emailed advising them to ensure that they have purchased sufficient printer credits before 17:00 on Friday for their needs over this weekend.

As access to many buildings is restricted during the Christmas period (from Friday 21 December until Wednesday 2 January), it will not be possible to access the IT Workareas located within some buildings.

Phones are now available in all IT Services Workareas so that at the touch of a button contact can be made with the IT Services Helpdesk (during office hours), or the Gatehouse.

With the on-going refurbishment of the Library, several students have expressed concern that the Library IT Workareas remain unavailable.  

The RM ecoquiet is in use in the recently opened Linux Workarea which is available to staff and students. This workarea is situated in Room A0.01 in the Mathematics Building and provides an additional 21 seats.

On Monday 18th June 2007, the IT Services Open Access Workareas in the Student Computing Centre will close as part of the Library Remodelling project.  The workareas in Social Studies and the Maths & Statistics Building will remain open and are unaffected.  At the same time the IT Services Help Desk and Service Counter will temporarily relocate to B Block in Social Studies.

IT Services is pleased to announce the opening of a new work area at Gibbet Hill.  E-103 is located in the Biological Science building and provides a further 20 PCs at Gibbet Hill, bringing the total provision to 58.

Support for this Workarea will be provided in partnership with the Biological Science IT Team, who will be providing local support to users of this Workarea.
